TREKKING

Bhutan is a trekking haven. The pristine mountain lakes, the diverse arrays of alpine flowers, and the untouched Himalayan peaks await the trekker with an unique mountain experience.
The Royal Government of Bhutan dictates that all treks in Bhutan must be arranged as full-fledged camping trips booked through a tour operator. This is essential, since most routes pass through uninhabited and undeveloped forest areas, and parties must therefore be self-sufficient in terms of provisions, personnel and equipment. It is also mandatory for trekkers to be escorted by a licensed guide registered with the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB).
There are many types of treks catering to different categories of trekkers. The short and easy treks with gentle slopes allow beginners to have a taste of trekking and enjoy mountain scenery.
There are also the gruelling and treacherous treks like the Snowman trek for the more experienced and adventurous trekkers.

Be it an easy short trek or an arduously long one, the Bhutan Himalayan mountain experience promises the trekker a rewarding sense of achievement and unforgettable memories.
